Ummm...yeah....so apparently I suck at this whole 'cake decorating' thing. It seems that it is much harder to decorate a cake than it is to eat it!
I will post a picture of the cake here only because my purpose is to document my "journey into cake decorating" and everyone must start some where right??
Now, as unappealing as the cakes looks, I have to say it was delicious. Really...it was!!

I LOVE this, Phoebe! :) I think your first cake was pretty good, and makes me a little embarrassed to be sharing my lame-o decorating attempts on FB! :) Looking forward to seeing you improve. Are you going to tackle fondant? I haven't tried yet.

I am going to totally try fondant...maybe that is my calling.....I have to be good at something cake related...not just eating!! I think maybe the next session of classes I take in August cover fondant...I'm too afraid to try it on my own without taking a class...I will be sure to share the photo evidence when I try it out....maybe you can try it first and let me know what I'm in for!!
Martha, I just went back to FB and looked at your cake photos again and I am totally awed by how great of a job you did!! I love your cakes and the fact that you did that without a class of any sort is completely awesome...so not lame-o!!
